So… you’re wondering what is this role about?

As a PhD intern, you will help build machine learning systems behind Leadcamp's products, create web applications that process millions of touchpoints and be a part of a team that’s working to help sales reps become more productive.

We are looking for freshers who have the energy, the passion, the drive, but most importantly, the desire to prove themselves and create an impact.

This means:

  • Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, regression, and rules-based models
  • Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap
  • Code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team
  • Adapt standard machine learning methods
  • Perform specific responsibilities which vary by feature

Okay… now you’re thinking, what do we expect from you?

  • Research experience in a relevant field, such as machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, signal processing, data mining, artificial intelligence, or computer vision
  • Experience in systems software or algorithms
  • Experience in Java, Perl, or PHP
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Perl, PHP and Python
  • High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results
  • A great personality who wants to go for it

Lastly, the fine print

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
  • You are based in Europe.
  • Have authorisation to work in Belgium at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorisation during employment.
  • Have a university supporting the PhD (mandatory co-op).
